Jaco Snyman

Course leader Jaco Snyman is a prosthetic make-up artist and concept designer living and working in South Africa. He received a Guild award (2016) and was part of the OSCAR and BAFTA award winning prosthetics team in 2016 for Mad Max Fury Road. After completing Art School in 1994, he went to Los Angeles where he studied prosthetic make-up arts. On his return he began his career in the film and entertainment industry. He has acquired many skills by always exploring and keeping up with new technology and materials. His passion is to be involved in the creative processes from inception through to final application. His skills include: concept illustration, 3D sculpting and manufacturing, traditional sculpting and manufacture of everything from specialized props to animal dummies to multi-piece prosthetic makeups. Jaco just finished as Prosthetics Designer/HOD on the first season of Ridley Scottﾒs new TV series called ﾓRaised by Wolvesﾔ. Some of his other career highlight include ﾓBloodshotﾔ starring Vin Diesel, ﾓMad Max: Fury Roadﾔ, ﾓGhost in the Shellﾔ and ﾓDistrict 9ﾔ. His company is called Dreamsmith Studio.
